This thread overall, and this post, both remind me of why so many YouTubers fail. Why are people trying to advertise their channels so blatantly? If you joined YouTube in the hopes of becoming "famous" or "popular" someday, then you're not going to go far. I'm not sure what constitutes as small for a gaming channel, but I only just recently hit 407 subs which in the grand scheme of YouTube I deem a small amount. People keep giving me advice like, post more videos to get more subs or get better quality equipment...but I don't know why they are telling me this as I post my videos as a hobby for fun. Yes, it's awesome seeing the sub number going up which tells me there are people who like what I make, but even if I only had 10 subs, I would keep posting content. It's all about your personality, your ideas, and your attitude. If people like you, great, you will see it in the numbers, but I'm happy where I am now having a handful of viewers who watch every one of my new videos and interact with me. As for what I think of small channels (especially gaming), what's wrong with them? That's like telling someone they can't start playing baseball because there are too many people playing baseball in this world already. If you have good content and don't come off as trying to advertise the s**t out of yourself...I'll support you as a sub!
