75kb/s. Taken me nearly 3hrs to upload 800mb. EDIT: Forgot to mention reviews, the writing process can take a while, especially if I get writers block. [DOUBLEPOST=1381326377,1381326171][/DOUBLEPOST]
I would suggest visting Two Best Friends Play and looking up their The Last Of Us Playthrough. Pat did the playthrough blind, he sucked so bad at stealth but manage to get through, just. lol What I'm trying to get at is; don't worry about them. Gaming isn't about getting that perfect score, it's about enjoying the art within it. The thing is, they used it a little bit to their advantage to engage the audience too.My biggest frustration so far is ignorant people commenting on the playthroughs (such as Giana sisters), whining with comments as "you suck, what kind of person does a Lets Play without playing the game first". Well I'm sorry, but some of the big Youtubers, including Markiplier (who inspired me to be a LPer), do Blind lets Plays (having not played the game before) and hardly anyone criticises them. I'm sorry that those commentators are excellent at the games and have played every game in the series, but I like to represent the common man, the person who has bought a game out of interest not necessarily having played games before. Even worse when these commentators band up to thumbs down the video. /rant
For me currently, it's getting my mate to play. He also seems to get tired very easily. Not sure if they're making up excuses or not, but production on videos get halted when I can't play as the series I was doing was meant to be played through entirely with him. I would do it solo, but I don't feel like I do well or entertaining things while doing solo playthroughs. This is the downside of doing a playthrough with 1 friend on an MMO lol so now I've actually run out of content for Defiance, I have 1 more video left to upload for it and that's it until he decides to play again. Fortunately I have Dead Space 3 footage that I salvaged, a whole other obstacle that 1. We tried using mumble to allow seperate channel recording, allowing me to edit his voice as well and any drinking or mic movements as he's a noisy b*****d, but for some bizzare reason, as the audio goes down the timeline, it gets more and more out of sync to a point that each word ends up out of sync, so I gave up on that playthrough and made a highlights series instead using the footage I had left over. Other obstacles I hit was organising a capture card for Ps3 in time to record GTA V footage, but because of faults and issues with 1 product I had to send it back. I'm currently uploading my GTA V review now as it was meant to be done pretty much a week after release of GTA V. So far the playing times are an obstacle that's ongoing and my upload speeds are probably never going to change until Australia get NBN75kb/s. Taken me nearly 3hrs to upload 800mb.[DOUBLEPOST=1381326377,1381326171][/DOUBLEPOST]

This is why I started using the pre render options in Premiere. Just before I used Render Entire Work Area and it still took around 1hr+ to export a 800mb video. Sadly I had to take it off after uploading, but I just tried a different option called Render Effects In Work Area and when exporting it took a hell of a lot less time, easily less than 1hr, I think around 30mins (I was distracted). I don't know why it worked better but it worked better lolThere is nothing "difficult" about doing a Let's Play. Frankly, I'm only doing them so I can increase the available content on the channel. Recording is easy, breaking into episodes is easy, editing is easy.
The biggest time sink though is in the render and upload process. I do everything in 1080p and each LP vid at 15 minutes on a good YouTube setting H.264 .mp4 file ends up being about 1GB in size. I have a pretty decent machine and is still takes time.

I would do this, but my hearing picks up the magnets spinning in the HDDs when I do this lmao it's bloody annoying. I'll keep that in mind though, there are times where I need to export multiple videos, so I might have to find a time where I'm not using the PC. I could make free time I guess.Rendering the work area is primarily valuable in cases where you have a huge amount of effects or cuts/edits and want to be able to preview it on the fly. For most game videos, this is not an issue and rendering the work area is a waste of time. Make your edits, then hit File -> Export and use the queue button to load it into the Adobe Encoder. You can queue up a bunch of videos and then let them all render overnight.
I never render the work area.
