You shouldn't look at YouTube as though you have to make it to 100 subs by next week, 1000 by the end of the month. Ultimately, making YouTube videos is about enjoying yourself and getting to know the community, forums and the sort and making friends with people just like yourself. In time, the views and subscribers will come along, it's partly to do with luck, mostly to do with consistency and interaction with others.

Post your channel/new videos to all of your social media accounts, and have your personal friends build a small view count up. This will help your video thrive. Also post on websites like YTtalk! Posting here can also generally get you a little constructive criticism as well :)
