Tips on channel promoting?

Hello wonderful people of the WORLD!! :)

What are the best ways to promote your channel and videos?(with out looking like a annoying spammer of course).

I tried to send messages for like the first 25 minutes of making my channel and uploading my first vid. But, I soon realized that I was how freaking annoying but send comments or messages like "Hey check out my funny video blah blah blah, blah, blah blah."(I was even annoying myself lol :sour2:). So, any tips would help in not being a annoying spammer.

Thanks,

Mr. Uriel

I think this has been posted before, My friend you just have to be patient, Work on Channel art (Banner, Thumbnails, Icons). Use social media to your advantage (Twitter,Facebook) but most of all try to be original, with all these things. Use your creativity, As for getting attention on videos, I'd say these forums are a good starting place. HOWEVER, Do not, I repeat, Do not do sub for sub, Most useless thing to do. Whats the point of subscribers when they don't want to watch your videos. Also commenting on other videos on youtube doesn't have to be spam. Make a funny joke, Get likes people will scroll over and watch your videos anyway! Good luck my friend and I wish you the best with your channel!

Sincerely

Yeah, make constructive comments on related big channels and refrain from spamming anywhere. Things like posting two separate threads in quick succession come to mind...

Yes it is, that is considered spamming and puts you on the radar in a bad way. Especially because you are probably aware it gets you 2 YTCash vs just 1 per regular post.

No, didn't know to be honest now I know and I can post a million threads!! MUWHAHAHAHA:devil:

No, dude definitely not the case. I've had a long weekend off work, so had some time to be on here. But, I go back to work tomorrow and most of my time is work do studies and trying to do a youtube channel now. So I really don't the time to be on here as much as I want to. So, for me this is the most convenient thing to do since I will be busy again after today. Just letting you know about my situation and why I did two threads.

Plus I am new to all this forum stuff, so still learning.

Appreciate your concerns though :)

I agree definitely that sub4sub schemes are not the way to go. It's all about consistency, originality and just generally enjoying what you're doing. You shouldn't look at YouTube as though you have to make it to 100 subs by next week, 1000 by the end of the month. Ultimately, making YouTube videos is about enjoying yourself and getting to know the community, forums and the sort and making friends with people just like yourself. In time, the views and subscribers will come along, it's partly to do with luck, mostly to do with consistency and interaction with others.

I hope that this can give you a little inspiration to enjoy making videos and keeping those uploads going!
