Hey YT people,
I was just curious about peoples tagging practices as I feel that I could possibly improve the tags I've put in my videos.
Personally I use a mixture of general and specific tags for example if I were to upload an Evil Within gameplay video I would tag:
Beastby Gaming, The Evil Within, The Evil Within Gameplay, The Evil Within Lets play, Jumps scares, survival horror game etc etc
Does repeating the game title and adding a keyword for a tag work or is YouTube smart enough to combine tags?
I've been looking at the tags in the source code for certain videos but there's no way of knowing if those tags were effective or not. Some YouTubers are lazy with tags but do really well and others go to town on their tags and also do well. I know it's content that drives success but I feel people shouldn't under estimate the effectiveness of tags.
