Thoughts On Cursing?

For me if I play a game that I think little kids may watch, like Harvest Moon or a more "kiddie game" or something, I refrain from cursing (although there was one time in Harvest Moon where I messed up royally and I cursed). If it's a game like...I guess GTA or Amnesia, I will curse. I'm not one of those people that curses constantly, though. It may be once or twice a video if I curse at all (with the exception of rage games). I figure if there is a little kid watching GTA where they curse in cutscenes anyway, it won't hurt 'em much to hear me curse every now and again.

I like how everyone is like "Think of the children!" when there are some people out there that find it morally wrong. I'm not one of them, I'm just saying, it's funny. xD

I mean, in my opinion, they are just words, but it I don't want to be responsible (or contribute to) a kid growing up to have the mouth of a sailor.
 
I don't mind if people swear on youtube videos, but if they end up swearing every 5 seconds then it soon gets tiresome, especally if its ragy or part of a rant. I myself dont swear in my videos (as of yet) and even if I did, it would probably be only minor swearing nothing big.

I'd only get into the f's and c's if I was doing some kind of livestreaming or live commentary and get really p****d off, lol. I (without videos) swear quite a lot in person. Nothing too ragy but it's still an unfortunate habit.... :oops:
 
I'm not really a fan, I used to curse a whole bunch, especially in early, videos, but I've since pretty much stopped cursing altogether, I suppose it sorta conveys a lack of vocabulary when someone's swearing all the time. I certainly don't get a good first impression of someone when every other word is an F-bomb.
 
I think it's a fine line, I don't want to hear a swear word every 5 second but at the same time I don't want you to awkwardly try and find a replacement for f*ck for 30 seconds. I swear when I game, it comes quite natural to me to blurt out f**k when I die, I do censor myself to some degree, but you can quickly lose yourself in censorship.
 
I think that for older teens and adults? No problem as long as it's not so excessive it detracts from what you're actually trying to say. I hate hearing young kids and like 12 year olds swear. It's just a sign of being raised wrong in my opinion (yes kids will swear, but even now I would get a clip round the back of the head if I swore in front of my parents! It's just a sign of respect not to!)
 
I guess in the end it just depends on the person, their personality, who they mind hearing their content, and of course, the people viewing it themselves. One thing that annoys me, and I can't help but feel this way, are when people use fake cursing to replace the actual saying. If you're going to get angry, and cruse, do it then.

"Son of a piddle-paddle!" I mean, I get that they are saving face, but seriously. xD

I'm not one to talk though. There is a video on my channel called Friendly Fire, and we decided to make everything PG and I come out with a gun saying "Gimme yo money mother doo doo head!" Which in turn started how I introduced myself in all my videos saying "What's up Mother DooDoo Heads!" Lol
 
I curse. This is because this honestly makes my videos ALOT more funnier, and I am not aiming for kids on my channel.

I curse when I'm with my parents, friends and boyfriend. Not when I'm with my boyfriend's parents, or at work though.

Yeah, sometimes you can sense the crowd you're around, and can guess if they mind you cussing or not haha.
