This Very Moment!

Even Blackbeard is scared of me!
Lately I've seen many channels with full focus on their statistics, telling how they lost a few subs, how this could have happened, how they can avoid doing so, and so on....

Lads, please! At this point on YouTube as a small channel you should just ENJOY making the content! Don't even strive for the subs or the numbers, do it because you love it! Do it because you enjoy creating that content. YouTube fame is hard to find and the chances are very big noone of us will ever find this fame. But dang, look around ya fellas! We have eachother, so many friendly and awesome faces who just happen to meet on this website here (or by other means). What more can we ask for than being united amongst fellow creative minds!
As small YouTubers we need to focus less on our own statistics and look at the numbers WE are in! We are in this together, and hell yeah, let's make the best out of our progress with eachother!

Do not focus on the destination you are heading, focus at where you are now, at the sides of the path you are on now, what great opportunities and great people can come along if you loosen your focus on your "destiny" and instead ENJOY this very moment and all other moments along the way!

Now this is something that cannot be repeated enough and should echo within all of yer minds! For the people who're already living by this motto, my biggest compliments to you! But if you secretly detect that you are too focused on your goals, then try to change your mindset. At one point you'll look back and think, "there were so many great moments but I just walked past."

I know this is a really cliché thing to say and it has been said many times, but this cannot be said enough. Also ofcourse I am not saying you shouldn't do s**t for yer channel. You do need to look at your goals and do your best to get there, but if you are blind to what is currently happening then you will not keep up with yourself!

I actually love this, as you gain subscribers and get a bit more of an audience it does get harder to not get addicted to that feeling and the temptation to check your analytics can get really overwhelming as every new subscriber means at least one more view or potentially even more views so you get excited, then you can get sad when that isnt the case. I recently gained 50 subs this month and this is honestly how it makes me feel. But i am trying really hard to not care so much and just enjoy the content i make, but seeing other famous youtubers you cannot help but want their life haha, met some great people from here and youtube who always support me in my videos so i am going to keep trying to focus on that instead, and just make stuff for them :)

Gotta agree with ya! Moments like these can give great motivation boosts but the opposite happens with decreases. And since YouTube is incredibly unpredictable going depressive about that ain't gonna help either! Look at what you've already got and don't lose focus of that :)

I agree with you on some level, but knowing that people watch my content and enjoy it what motivates me to make it even better, and make more videos. If no one were to watch my content then I wouldn't be motivated in the slightest to make any videos at all.

I feel about the same as everyone else. While I do enjoy the video making process, it is discouraging when you don't get as many views/subs as you think you should. That being said, I repeatedly tell myself to focus on improving my writing/shooting/editing and don't worry if only my mom is watching. Keep driving until I just can't anymore. I also have aspirations for film (as many do) and hope to make a movie or two someday.
