I'm told what I do should be categorized as vlogging haha. Also I have done actual vlogs.

Are your vlogs primarily "daily vlogs", rants, or sketches with set-ups?
I've done all three, but sketches would be my latest ones.

Do you script your vlogs, or are they free-form?
Always scripted, or at the very least an outline.

How long on average do you spend researching/planning?
Between 2 hours to 4 hours.

Where do your ideas come from?
Not sure... I guess stuff I've read, seen on tv, movies, internets etc...

What's your shooting setup (tech, setting, etc)?
Canon 7D + 16-35mm L II f/2.8 LED lighting on tripod, Blue Yeti. For my event videos I use the a monopod, 24-105mm L F/4.0 and Rode Mic Pro.

Are you a sitting or standing vlogger?
Sitting, more comfortable and I feel like I'm talking to someone.

How long on average do you spend shooting ?
1-3 hours.

On average, how many takes do you do for a single clip?
3

Do you shoot a video all in one sitting, or do you take breaks?
One sitting.

What editing software do you use?
Sony Vegas Pro 12

Do you tend to edit your vlogs tighly, or do you prefer to have pauses?
Tight, I'm always trying to get videos under 5 minutes.

How often do you vlog?
Once a week. More if there's an event I just covered.

My vlogs are usually sketches but I'm going to switch to a scheduled vlog soon on another channel

Sketches i script but just take along vlogs i free-form

I dont usually research but planning takes around 2-4 hours. When I do research its just for some small thing like where was someone born so it takes like 5 minutes

Where do your ideas come from?
My video ideas come from hanging out with friends and saying something stupid that turns into a video idea and some of it comes from people I watch on YouTube like JoeyGraceffa

What's your shooting setup (tech, setting, etc)?
I just got a Canon Eos T3i Rebel so ill be using that, a fluid head tripod not sure of the brand cause it doesn't have a brand on it i got it from my dad, my light on my ceiling, and a Blue Snowball with Adobe Audacity

Are you a sitting or standing vlogger?
It really depends. Most of the time I sit but sometimes I stand. Talking vlogs are usually stand but skits are sit/move if that makes any sense

How long on average do you spend shooting ?
My skits take around 1-2 hours depending on how long it is and how much I mess up but vlogs are around 10 minutes

On average, how many takes do you do for a single clip?
I get it in a single shot mostly but when I mess up, I mess up a LOT and have to take over 6 shots

Do you shoot a video all in one sitting, or do you take breaks?
All in one sitting or until i run out of time

What editing software do you use?
Adobe Premiere Elements 10 for video and Adobe Audacity for audio

Do you tend to edit your vlogs tighly, or do you prefer to have pauses?
I like tight cuts but if its a short video i like to extend the pauses hehe

How often do you vlog?
Skits once a week and im still deciding my vlog schedule

90% of my vlogs are scripted, just so I have the basis down and won't have 3 minutes of silence to think of what to say next.

I spend a good 2-3 hours researching and planning, I don't want to get caught out in the video by saying something that is completely wrong.
Where do your ideas come from?
My ideas usually pop up at school for some reason, but most of them are personal experiences or random topics that pop up during my classes.
What's your shooting setup (tech, setting, etc)?
I shoot using a iPhone 4, $30 tripod and 2 lamps for lighting. All about utilizing the materials that you have ;)

Sitting.

A good hour or two, as my videos are pretty simple and I don't have lots of fancy equipment to muck around with.
On average, how many takes do you do for a single clip?
Around 3-4 good takes, so it can be anywhere from 5-10 attempts.
Do you shoot a video all in one sitting, or do you take breaks?
I tend to shoot a video in one sitting, but on rare occasions I'll stop to get a glass of water or something.

I try to do a new vlog every 3 or 4 days, since my channel is rather small it gives the video time to gain more views etc.

It really depends on the video, so far it's ranged from half an hour to a couple of hours

Usually just experiencing things in day to day life, or they just pop into my head (I'm also planning a video at the moment to do with a story I was told by my granddad from when I was younger)

I plan to branch out into sketches with set ups at some point. I'm still figuring out the direction of my channel, but it's basically light, funny, encouraging vlogs.

I started out with full blown scripting, but now I go with detailed notes.

I'm always jotting down ideas, but it usually takes up to an hour to get it all in order.

Where don't they come from? I get ideas from all over really, life experiences, props I have around my house etc.

I am currently using a JVC Everio HM30, which is only driving me a little crazy. I use a slik tripod and my backdrop is from a store window where my sister used to work. But I sometimes film around my house for clips in the vids. I light myself with lamps.

I plan to upgrade to a dslr soon.

Standing. I fidget a lot when I sit.

Up to three. Actually, sometimes up to 5. It depends how articulate I am feeling that day...

I try to get it pretty tight.

Well, the goal was weekly, but it's more biweekly at the moment.

I guess we are vloggers we answer questions and it is Kinda Skteches as we take on personalities that are exaggerations of who we are.

Free Form we tried scripting but It didn't feel natural.

I spend probably 10 -15 hours researching things about each question just so I can randomly pull from it in my head.

With the length of your segments, I would also try and get them done in 1 take. Would be crazy to reshoot 1 minute clips 3-4 times.
