The Views Lost Thread (Lost views? Post here first!)

I've refreshed my channel alot because I wanted to see how many video views all together.. but I don't watch my videos... so wouldn't that mean that they would take away from Channel Views and not Video Views?

YouTube are getting rid of all views caused by refreshes, clicks from your own computer, botted clicks, fake views, click bombing, etc. They did it in December as well, the whole of YouTube lost BILLIONS of views combined.

EVERYONE is losing views today. Some are losing millions (PewdiePie lost 44 million views!)

If you have a featured video on your channel it'll count as a video view I believe.
 
Wow I thought it was just me, but looks like it hit a lot of other people. It's never a good time when YouTube decides to audit :(

I have a featured video but I leave it on the browse videos page so it wouldn't count as a view.. Are you saying that it still counts as a view even when i'm on the browse videos page?? How else are we going to be able to tell how many views we have?

No I don't think it counts if the video isn't physically up. To be fair it's probably nothing you've done. We've all lost views. I for one never go on my channel or watch my own videos and I lost approx 800 views today. I'm sure PewdiePie hasn't watched his own videos 40 million times either hehe ;) it's from other people who might watch a video 10 times, or click-bomb to try and get that person more views etc.

They do overshoot the mark sometimes, but sadly nowt can be done.
 
You know how bad that is going to be for the bigger youtube channels?! lol were going to be able to see just how great they are! lol

Yeah, I just got hit again and the total is now like 10,000 this is starting to tick me off because the is no funny business going on around here, and I've calculated for all the videos I took down. Every time I'm almost at 50K here they come taking away I views. I seriously thought they were done with me. Geez.
