The true way to grow on YouTube..

Geeeeeeeeeebus. I like dis post. ^_^ I remember when youtube had more of a community feel, instead of little COD squeakers coming and bein like. OMG CHECK OUT MY CHANNEL!!! SUB4SUB!!!! In FACT, here is a message I received this mourning.

This is not a community, this is stupid. People advertising through sending random people messages. It seems unfair though how people like this idiot can have 91 subs, and people like me who NEVER have pulled any crap like this have 36 subs. Granite I am happy with my sub count, and I am still moving fast WITHOUT doing that, its just a bit ridiculous.

I had something like this the other day. I did a good thing, gave feedback on content, and merely asked for the same (just check my vid out, and give feedback. I wasn't looking for sub4sub), and got the response of "No buddy".

So these guys (broad generalisation there) ask for vid views and subscribers, yet won't even consider reciprocating.

Aaaaannndd, thats because they are total nublets.

I wouldn't have minded quite as much if he had a sub count similar to mine (4 at the time) but he was more like 100 or so.

Also nublet, I like that.
I made it myself :D Also I hate how you KNOW that all 100 0f his subs were probably him asking people to subscribe.

..Many people think it's about giving your video the right title, maybe giving it some popular tags, or cool thumbnail designs. Well although these things do give very minute help, there is one thing i have seen which seems to propel people to YouTube fame, and that is Support.

As well as obviously being good at what you do, a great support network of other YouTubers around you really does make a huge difference, whether it be Co-Commentating, Subscribing to each other and giving each other a like every so often, or something simple like just giving someone a Sub-box.

There are many example's of this around YouTube such as the Vlog youtubers such as Jacksgap and Sampepper etc, they all work together and now they are starting to hit 1 million subscribers.
Gamers, such as Bluexephos and everyone apart of that network of gamers.

Although it seems obvious it really is the true way to grow on YouTube and people think that little things such as tags, title's and thumbnails are all the best way to grow (every video i see about growing on YouTube list's these 3 things)

So, If you are good at what you do, Gaming, Vlogs, Lifestyle, Whatever, Find other people who you can get along with and who are just as good at what they do as you and work together, to grow together.

It can often be hard to find other YouTuber's to work with but these forums really do help a lot, i look at the advertise your channel section of these forum's and i can't imagine a whole lot of general views browsing that forum looking for channel's the people there are mainly just director's so that is a great place to find other YouTubers to work with, support or just simply subbox each other.

And don't get me wrong, channel's do blow up if they are different, funny, creative etc. Getting a retweet or shoutout from a big YouTuber helps a bunch too, or getting your video featured on a network such as Machinima. But through hard graft the best way to do it is by working with people and growing as a group of people who share similar interest's to you and have the same ambitions on youtube as you instead of on your own.

Ask any big YouTuber, So many of them do this. And YTtalk can really create some big YouTuber's if a load of you skilled bunch work together :).

I know ive said it too much but the message is : Work Together
I want to do this so bad, but it seems like everyone I find who's as talented as I am or I'd work well with just isn't interested. Something about being brilliant seems to make people be... possessive over their channels. I've tried to do this with ChrisL, Gisi, this guy who left the forum named Cameron, all kinds of people I thought I could "rule youtube" with. They never seem to want to go for it :(

I agree with the part about working with others, but I don't agree with the other stuff basically being unimportant. It all works together. Frankly you better be worried about tags, titles, promotion and all that just in case you can't find anyone willing to collab with you, you will at least have steady progress. :)
