The Sheer Lack of Motivation

To me the only who can really motivate you is yourself. There are a ton of people out there who don't support you and a bunch who don't know you even exist. But the big question to ask is....who are you really doing this for? If you answered "yourself" then that is the self drive to keep on going. If it's for money, fame, etc...then maybe this isn't for you. Cause Youtube in general is a very long drive that becomes more self rewarding as time goes on.

But I do wish everyone the best of luck with their hopes and dreams.

Sometimes my lack of motivation comes from the stress of not being where I want to be at in school. Other times I have ideas but am just lazy. One time I went a whole year not uploading anything. It's either Im on a uploading spree every other day or Im just gone for months.

I have about 972 subscribers and I was doing really good with my weekly updates right?? well for the past 5 months I haven't uploaded a video and I was so close to 1000 subs. Idk why I lost motivation but if anyone knows what I can do and how I can get my motivation back would be nice
also some tips of what I can shoot?
should i make a video catching up with my viewers and explain my disappearance?

I would just get right back into it, don't bother explaining why you weren't around, but answer questions if you get comments about it.

As for motivation just start small, shoot things that interest you, if your first couple of videos back are super short that's OK, just keep building upon it until you get back into the grove of things.

Losing motivation is really easy, but that is also the reason why only a few succeed. When you lose motivation you should think how much you want to succeed on YouTube and hard work will pay off, (as it has been on your channel) I listen to some motivating music and look at how well my competitors are doing and that motivates me!

As for doing a video explanation I would not say about losing motivation as it could come across the wrong way to viewers. Or at least explain it in a different way. Reassure your subs that you are serious about YT!

Good Luck!

I think you definitely should shoot a video explaining your disappearance, but if your explanation is just "I got bored" than just add it at the end of your video. People might get super bored of listening to you talk about how bored you got of Youtube for 10 minutes.

Being a content creator can be extremely demotivating. It's one major aspect that new creators learn the hard way. Since there are not many initial incentives, you'll have to rely on a lot of personal dedication and drive to push yourself through the lack of motivation. That's just what it has to be. Believe in your content and your talent (but also be honest) and don't rely on motivation to get things done. One of my favorite mottos from Gary Vee is "document, don't create." Sometimes you just have to start recording regardless of whether you have a plan.
That is actually a very good motto. Thank you for your reply!
