The 'I Got Partnered with RPM' Thread

Hmm ok. So far the only videos claimed are the ones that were monetized before I joined. it seemed whenever I joined it went flipped from monetized to claimed. But I haven't claimed any of my video game reviews yet. So if I claim audiovisual, I'm good to go? I'm not using any actual songs or music, just the game footage, but of course it's riddled with commentary and cutaway scenes.

No not a troll idiot and seriously learn to let things go will you wow you need to grow up.[DOUBLEPOST=1366454111,1366454062][/DOUBLEPOST]
I know I have tried to tell him but he keeps on going regardless it no longer matters either way.
yeah, Matt and Mango are right. Let's just let it go and not derail the thread any further.

I know. See everyone says what I said was right. I don't care anymore but I hate kids like this who just say "no you are wrong" and then just calls me a "dumbass" through inbox. That's retarded.[DOUBLEPOST=1366476181][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes, if you claim it, you can pick the type of ads showing up in the video. :)

Some people like it though, also having loads of new partners could result in a drop in CPM's (which is unfortunate considering I'm partnered with them..)

Youtube is responsible for the crash in CPM and its YT wide not Network specific. Inviting more partners would only impact "Network" sold ads not google served ads and most of the people being brought in with ultra micro channels wont even qualify.

Whats killing CPM's across the board is google letting anyone with a video monetize it. Now you've got a few extra hundred million people your now competing with for those impressions and the average cpm drops globally. Thats why all the big partners are complaining in the past few months. Google around there are tons of articles about this.

If you don`t know about something please don`t say anything....
CPMs are due to rise 40% this year alone. they have not "crashed"....
YouTube Monetization does not off CPMs but instead ad clicks and views, this is because YouTube can`t sell the good ads because they have to sell so many, more often than not they sell lower paying ones and as a result partners would not earn much if they were to start paying per 1000 views.
As a network partner, only 0-30% of your ads will be sold by Google (depending on the network) Networks sell ads onto their CMS, via Google Adwords, they often get all the good ads because YouTube has already taken the bad ones.
If a network is smaller it means they will need to sell less ad impressions , therefore CPMs will rise as they can spend their time scouting out higher paying customers and deals.
When RPM lets all these small partners on board it will indeed drop Maker`s CPM rates across the board ;)
