It's possible. I've heard a tip somewhere that you shouldn't monetize before you have a relatively stable fan base as it may turn people away from a channel.Since I have not monetized any of my videos in the past 2 weeks, they have doubled in views and I got triple the amount of subscribers. WTH man. Was monetization holding my channel back?!?
You're not wrong. but it's not JUST about the money aspect. It's the fact that people have to censor themselves...
A lot has changed in this past year. You have to watch what you do and say and it doesn’t really matter if you put an age restriction warning. Not that I was planning on doing anything bad! Also the whole adpocalypse thingI want to do YouTube for fun, but I would be lying if I said that I wouldn’t like to be paid to be a content creator. It feels like the more time passes, the more that “dream” (I guess you could call it) is out of reach. It sucks. Anyone feel the same?
Yes, I feel the same way! They keep moving the bar, and it's discouraging.A lot has changed in this past year. Keep your head up it's not easy.It can be very discouraging, I just pay attention to the money part, but it would be nice to get some money to make more content. I put a lot of money in my videos and effort and I probably won’t ever anything from it but I try to just think about the people who are watching and the people who told me my videos make them and help them with getting bullied.
