Hello cats and kittens!

I was looking through my youtube feed and skimming some videos by youtubers I know when it hit me!

It's really easy to be successful on youtube if you 1) have an adorable tiny human 2) have an adorable tiny animal 3) are physically attractive and 4) have a little skill with a camera and/or editing software.

But where does that leave everyone else who lacks one or more of those attributes?!

I'm curious to hear the community's thoughts on this issue... because I like to ponder things like this and hear different opinions.

It leaves ugly ducklings like me, to actually have or give the illusion to having some from of talent that's worth exploiting. (At least work harder at doing so) But that's just the thing I find awesome about that, is if you end up getting somewhere with it. You'll feel that much more proud of the accomplishment.

I think it makes you popular, but successful? Depends. Do you sell kittens for a living? Then yes, being popular in that area can also make you successful.

Unless by successful you mean being popular as an end in itself. :)

Welp... >_< Definitely don't have anything here. Negative 2 points.

Now this might be something... Not too sure yet.

Exactly bruh... We all want to be the Daniel Bryan of YouTube. The one who gets over without looking the part, and gets over by hard work and dedication. There's no better story than that.
 
You forgot a DSLR or other interchangeable lens system cameras that gives you an ungodly shallow depth of field. Kind of makes me regret getting a Canon XA-20 which doesn't have a very shallow DOF at wide angle.
 
Well pets can be bought but is this really the kind of content you want to create?
Video skills can be learned that's no excuse for not doing your best.
Ugly people either are stick with making a fool of themselves or creating high quality content by hard work.
