Ryan of the WWW
I had a visitor to my channel from Hong Kong a little bit ago. This interests me, since YouTube is still blocked in China. Got my gears going... this sort of stuff always does.

So I went in search of China's equivalent to YouTube.

Here it is:
http://www.youku.com/

An interesting site to look through, for sure! Also a neat snapshot of how the Chinese people do things within their own internet... err... intranet?... their version of the web! lol

Of course, you'll more than likely have to translate it (thanks Google!).

I know, right?!? lol

I've been on the site for a half an hour now. Probably be at it for awhile. lol

It's neat to look at the differences and similarities in the two.

I'm also having fun reading the comments people post. Very interesting.

Is it just me or is the site really slow to load? Maybe theres special asian babies that only speed up the internet for natives or something because it takes ages for me.

Oh, there are videos ripped right off of YouTube on their site.

I found that Obama "Call Me Maybe" parody on it... YouTube end card and everything.
