Hey there!
I saw your channel, and I must say it's pretty good.
I'm currently doing a let's play of DOOM, which isn't as nearly as good as yours. Maybe you could give me some pointers?
Hey Walrus, I had a little look at your channel. Bare in mind I have very limited experience myself, I've only been doing it a few months but I'll give whatever points I can think of...
1) I'd recommend you add a few 'panels' to your home page. It's good that you have the channel trailer on there (which is funny btw) but just add a few things like 'recent uploads', 'popular uploads', 'created playlists' etc, it just shows off your stuff a bit when someone comes on to your channel. As it is now, all I see on the home page is your trailer.
2) I'd recommend using a lot more tags/keywords, it just makes it easier for people to find your video or for Youtube to pick your video as one of the 'suggested videos' along the right hand side of other people's videos. Think of what you'd search for if you wanted to find your video and that's your tags... Doom playthough, Doom chapter one, Doom PC version, whatever you like. I always try to fill the full 500 characters.
3) I'd make the videos a little big longer. Probably not as long as my Doom videos, those were my first ever videos and I think they are a bit too long but 4 minutes is just too short.
4) I'd suggest you work out some kind of intro/outro, I don't mean anything animated etc. Just you saying 'Hey guys it's Walrus here and we're gonna carry on with Doom today' (feel free to make it less boring than that lol). Similarly you can end by saying 'next time we're gonna do X, Y, Z, thanks for watching, cya later' or whatever you fancy. Could also do the dreaded asking people to like/sub etc.
5) I know it can be hard, in fact I'm totally useless at it and my girlfriend makes them for me but your thumbnails could be a bit more eye catching. Just use a less generic font, maybe go steal the Doom logo from a google images search, maybe find a proper Doom picture rather than just a screenshot... or if you wanna use a screenshot, pick one yourself from a good moment like where you are just shooting someone in the face lol.
Gotta say though, it's a really good start considering how few videos you've done. Most people who are just starting out are wayyyyy worse quality than you imo.
