Oh, I was talking to Kirky, the OP, about his trailer. Your channel trailer doesn't have any of the things I was mentioning, lol!

Thanks, Pierre!

Kirky, I have a couple suggestions about your channel trailer. First, with the tank, I was wondering if you ever played Carmageddon. I loved that game growing up. Also, toward the end you say "subscribe down below", but, at least on the computer, the subscribe button isn't below the channel trailer. It is above it and to the right. And then you put a subscribe button with an annotation over it at the end, but YouTube puts the official subscribe button at the end of all channel trailers anyway, so it seems redundant.

As it happens I'm actually due to create a new channel trailer. That one was created ages ago and since then the quality of my content has spiraled upwards pretty drastically. Worth highlighting THOSE bits for sure. I'll keep your suggestions in mind! And no, never played Carmageddon :D

It happens. I hit 2100, and then next time I looked I was down 5-6 subscribers. But the next day I was north of 2100, so in all it really doesn't matter. It also helps that I don't care too much about my subscriber number. Just as long as I am having fun everything is a-OK. More comments, views and subscribers is just a bonus!

Every channel gains and loses subscribers all the time. It's definitely much more noticeable when you have your first batch of subscribers, but it will become much less noticeable the more people you have subscribed to your channel. Just keep concentrating on your content being top-notch and paying attention to your community, and you'll eventually get to the point where a few gains here, a few lost there won't make too much of a difference.

1 sub out of 184 or 183 isn't worth worrying about, that's less than 1%. Not trying to belittle your circumstances but instead trying to bring you off the ledge, it's just not worth worrying about! "Soul destroying"?

Haha I love making people happy so if I'm not doing that it gets to me a bit too much :p

Things will turn around in the long run, try not to get too caught up in the short-term. :smile22:
