That 'I want to give up' feeling.

BlacklightDemon thats a really touching speech you had there

(pls subscribe to my channel)
I've been through it before. I've had (undiagnosed) depression for around 2 or 3 years now. I know how it feels. One day you're fine and the next you aren't sure what to do anymore.

I agree with everyone. You have to do what makes you happy, even if some people don't like it. And that's why I started making videos and playing games :)

I think many of us have experienced the same, I may even go as far as to say that this whole social phenomenon of Youtubers and general Internet celebrity may be in some ways a reaction to a spreading feeling of a seemingly hollow existence. Youtube's nice like that.

BlacklightDemon I salute you sir...well in my case when i upload a video my friend would post it on facebook and people would write mean things there so that f*cked me up on teh head. but up to know im doing alright i still dont have the confidence to make a video cause of all the criticism i get....

I agree. In the grand shape of things, that's the hidden meaning I guess. But it's nice to be able to connect with other people through forums and Youtube who feel the same though. In that sense, we can at least exist and feel a togertherness by connecting with each other :)

How bout we make a collab video about depression but with a twist of comedy in it
-----------------im getting off topic sorrrry-----------------------------------------------

I actually had depression 4 years ago and had it for 3 years, on medication for two years. I still have my bad days, which is why I think that I don't take criticism very well.
I thought about this situation over night, and I've decided to continue with Youtube :) But don't make it a priority in my life. I went to the gym today for the first time since I started Youtube videos 2 months ago and I feel a lot better. I have a competition video going up tomorrow that I have to do so I'll do that video, and I'm also doing a favour for another Youtuber this week. But I just need to chill out and have fun with Youtube rather than constantly worrying about it :) Thanks for all the kind words and advice guys! You's have helped me more than you even know :) x

i wanted to give up until i started to see people enjoying my content. you're right we all have that moment but if we just put in that little extra we will make it over than hump :)

I have given up. Not because of dislikes. It's because I don't even get dislikes. There is SO LITTLE activity and it demotivates me extremely.
