Stealing ideas

So you think you have an amazing idea, you make a video from it, then 4 days later someone else has made a video doing the exact same thing as you and not given you any credit what so ever.

Obviously if you bring this up to them they will just deny all knowledge but seriously it's annoying. What would you lot do in this situation ?

Me being me and my friend being my friend and us being where we from. If it should occur that we bump into these people in person we will use queens bury rules to vent our anger. It's just how things are done where we are from and you will get slapped up on road for trying to mug someone off.
 
Publicly humiliate them by spanking them with a cricket bat and then tattoo copier on their butt cheeks, usually that teaches them :)
 
Thats how showbizz and business work. You should't tell anybody about your idea, product or whatever untill you either copyright it or release it to the public. People will steal it.

I've heard many bigger youtubers who looks at a small channels who have a good idea. Then they tweak it and it blows up to their advantage.

The world is cruel. Especially when it comes to money.

Damn it! I shared one of my cool ideas on the forums. It is hard because you want to share your idea to get feedback and support, but then there is the chance people will steal it. If they do, I shall virtually record me slapping them and send it to them via e-mail, because I cannot be asked to find them in person. :)
 
My video was up before theirs so I can clearly prove that we did and and we did it a lot better aswell which is probably why we have more views. Personally they seem like they where scared to do it at the same level of us.

It's all good though because we hold grudges and we go to a lot of the YouTube meet ups so there will bound to be a time we have a run in and we won't be f*****g about.
 
A friend of mine keeps on stealing my gaming series ideas- I'll do it, then suddenly its on his channel. Hell, he admitted it to me. :/ I've honestly given it up. I just try to do it better.
 
Well just the other day I realized that all these other people are making video's and posting them to Youtube. I had thought about doing that since Youtube first came out. Somehow they took my idea to do a video and are doing one.. Starting today I am going to put a comment on every channel and every Video saying they stole my idea.

Honestly though it is hard to really prove anything like that. I mean they could turn around and say you stole it from them. Doing Stand up Comedy I have done a set and a week later a friend sent me a video of another comic basically doing my act. So it happens. I usually take the high road and move on and come up with new things to do and say.
