So how exactly did you advertise on their channel? Just be all up in their comments like
"Yo you like this broham's videos? Come check mine, they're way better?"
Cos I can kinda see how that'd cause some negative feedback.

Best way to do it, is to sign off a friends YouTube at the end of their video, like my friend did in my Draw My Life.

And thats really it..
30 minutes later i said that some negative feedback will come in my newest video, as i want to show new youtubers "how to now advertise"

But ye, its an interesting outcome.. you got people that stand up for you also, which i never expected![DOUBLEPOST=1374264743,1374246041][/DOUBLEPOST]MADE IT TO THE FRONT PAGE OF REDDIT! :D doesnt get better then this :p

Agreed. Promoting your channel on someone else's is a little "black hat" and spammy, and it probably doesn't work very well.

ohhh wow, so by advertising on other people channel you mean going to their video and posting a comment: "go to my channel or watch my video" ? I see those comments a lot on other people's videos

Yeah I see those comments also more than often, if it's on my video I remove the comment and if it's someone else his video I mark as spam, but I never going to his channel to dislike the video.

Oh, thank you, when you make that video can you post it here, cause I totally thought it was a common/ normal thing in youtube community. I actually was thinking to do it myself, but have not got around it. Now I'm so not doing it.

Might be stupid to stay, but LOOK at who writes negatives things on your channel... they will most likely look like either REALLY dorky, and have 1-2 videos and nearly no views... ( last video is most likely 2 months old and 10 views)

Wow, you are right about that. I checked the channels of the people who left negative comment on my videos and they both have only one video each that is not even theirs.

I feel like going "dah!" :P Advertising through other people would only help in cases of shoutouts or collaborations :P
 
Daang that sucks man lol but it's to be expected. No one likes people who advertise on other peoples videos/channels! Nice test though! It's too bad it didn't work out to be +100k views ;)
