SO MANY FAKES

I dunno if spamming is such a good thing, even when it's not spamming. I'm still trying to get subs the normal way by people finding my channel on youtube. Twitter and Facebook isn't really helping me and I'm kinda tired of following random people from someone who's also doing a gaming channel. I could follow all of pewdiepie's followers but where will that get me? I can invite people to my facebook page that I can do yes but then still how many will "like" it. I'm not saying it won't do any good, it probably will but I guess I'm kinda afraid for the "f**k your youtube channel, I'm not interested" kinda attitude. And yes maybe I shouldn't have a youtube channel if I want everything to go smooth cause most likely it's not. Just saying that I don't feel comfortable with certain options.
At the end of the day i'm no pro and i'm still learning aha, but just saying if you don't want criticism and stuff then if you want to grow on YT its something that you'll have to get used to. Like I appreciate people wanting their channels to be found on youtube, but there is so much competition nowadays that to get your channel to stand out from others you have to use other platforms (again my own opinion) , all i'm saying is it has massively helped me and other successful YTubers who i watch/know, so I just thought i would share it and let people make up their own minds[DOUBLEPOST=1393764440,1393764338][/DOUBLEPOST]
I wouldnt say your fake, maybe bland but never fake
What do you mean 'bland'?

You take a well practised formula and you stick to it, it has been shown to work and does work in a certain way, But that is sooooooo boring :)

I don't really see why you felt the need to rant about someone who's got a lot of subscribers in a sort amount of time considering they're all real subscribers..

You use the word fake to describe those people and I'll use the word Jealous to describe you @OP.

If someones doing well because of something like social networking don't hate them or call them names. That's like hating someone who's gone viral because they made a decent video, put time into it and got attention for it.

Too many people view self promotion as sacrilege of their "goody two shoes" YouTube approach, which is usually unfindable and boring videos. Not talking to anyone specific for the record.

I feel like if someone has a social power behind them like a decent facebook page or a twitter account they might as well use it to their advantage.. The only reason I originally started twitter was to help my youtube account.

Lol, yeah, I suppose I'm jealous, but so would most youtubers trying to grow on youtube. And the reason I made the thread was because growing that fast is just fishy and kinda shady, that's why I brought it up. In @Tony Wedral case it totally makes sense, and I never thought of it that way, but I was never hating them for that reason, I just thought it unfair and suspicious because there are a lot of talented smaller youtubers that aren't recognized, but if they have a valid reason, and put work into getting those subs, then, well, good for them!

Yeah, spamming may at some stages be a necessity, there is only so much you can do on your Twitter and Facebook before people start to get really annoyed of seeing it constantly.

A lot of talented people think they just deserve to be noticed without putting any effort into social media and promoting themselves. I've seen this with loads of people in our drama department at college, they all think they deserve to be in films and such but when you ask them if they'll be able to promote the film on social media half of them don't even have a twitter account or facebook page..

(To break this down, when we create films at college we will ask the actors to help promote the film on their social networks to help us and them)
