So, I need to get a new mic.

I've Got It
So far, there's two that interest me at the moment.

The first being the Blue Snowball.

The other being another Blue brand microphone, the Yeti.

Now, my issue is, that I can't decide which one to get.
So, I would like some feed back from anyone who's used either one of these, to sort of make my decision a little easier.

I use the Yeti, it has more options that allow you to change the direction it picks up audio in. I've been using it for a while and I'm liking it, still getting used to it though.

Also consider the Rode Podcaster and AT2020

When it comes to the Snowball, the answer is always no no no nononononononoooonononoo. That being said. The Yeti is better.
Why? The snowball can often be found at ridiculously low prices, it may not be perfect, but for the price point it's damn fine

You have 16 subscribers, spending £100 on a Yeti is severe overkill. Get a snowball unless you have more money than sense or other uses for the microphone.

If it's a hobby, I don't see how it's overkill. I've got a tiny channel yet I've still spent quite a bit on it because I enjoy doing it.

It can never be too early for better quality.

If you can afford a mic and a small sound board and XLR cable, AT2020 is a good go. I couldn't afford that, so I use the Yeti and it's good. Since you're even considering the Yeti, the Snowball shouldn't even be an option.

What's your point?
My videos reach more than just my subscribers, and an increase in quality, no matter how slight, could possibly increase the amount of subscribers I currently have.

i dont use these i have a midi and a studio microphone but if i was to choose id pick the yeti because it has The extra options for stereo, omnidirection, interview, and solo, plus the gain knob and quality trump the snowball by far if you have the extra money to spend
