So i bought this Yeti blue..... Mic stand / pop filter / setting question

I bought a Yeti blue recently. But i have some problems with it.
1: It's on cardiod but still picks up things behind it. I sometimes even can hear my keyboard & mouse clicks!
2: The gain is already on the lowest setting!

3: Would a mic stand help? or a shock mounts / pop filter? My micophone is about 30/40 cm away from my face and standing 20 cm's in front my of keyboard. Pc is behind it. Anybody here experienced with setting it up? My windows microphone volume is set to 35. So this is rather worrying me. Gain at 0 / windows 35. Not much room to go lower.

generally blue yetis are known to pick up a large amount of sound (ive had one and been there) or honestly it could just be a defect in your yeti because ive had plenty of defects and issues when I had mine. I ask though could you take a picture of your computer desk with all the items on it so I can get a better idea.
 
Turning it to Cardiod disables the the back capsule, now as you may know sound is vibrations, and sound made behind the mic is subject to hitting the front capsule. Condenser mics are very sensitive to sound in general.

Shock Mounts stop vibrations that go through the stand, but do not effect background noise or noise made by your keyboard and mouse.

Pop Filters are only for blocking air hitting from the mic when you say certain letters like "p"s and "b"s, they do not block out background noise.

30/40cm is still 12-15 Inches away from your mouth which is still quite a bit.

Yeti's are pretty sensitive as is. Too sensitive for my taste. A shockmount might help, but wont completely fix the issue.

Getting a quieter keyboard might help too.

only thing i can suggest is getting it away from your keyboard, getting one that doesn't have such a loud click to it OR! use audacity when you record your gameplay and use the click remover and noise remover tools on audacity. (click remover to remove the annoying keyboard sounds, and noise remover to get rid of the background buzzing sound) I use the noise remover for my videos and it works really well.

Wait, WHAT!? Audacity has a feature to remove keyboard clicks while recording? and also remove noise? Does it do that while recording or do i have to do that afterwards myself? (active editing) or is it like a filter 1 click button. Will have to look into this. Thanks
