It would be interesting if they had a subscriber or view count requirement but then that would require ID to get in and proof of channel ownership and could prove more of a farce. I might go to SITC next year, I am still not sure, it just doesnt seem worth the price of travel etc for me.

Not sure if that would work. YouTube has certain programs/classes that require 100k subs to attend and it ends up usually being me plus 2-3 corporate channels, so they have to relax the sub limit or it's only going to be a handful of us.

Odd thing is though, it's not like non-industry pass holders could not get into the industry-only parts!$500 is worthwhile to protect your hearing
Apart from the lounge and some of the keynotes there was no security checking the passes and after around mid-day the community pass-holders were allowed on the upper floors too.
So it would have not been too hard to get into 80% of industry panels, I actually even saw 2-3 people doing it.[DOUBLEPOST=1407623813,1407623675][/DOUBLEPOST]
Wouldn't really work as business/ big channels don't seem to be the focus for SitC.
I'm not really sure the best thing for a big channel to do is listen to some panels by big YouTubers who judging by SitC's demographics will likely be giving out the more basic tips in the book rather than anything advanced.
