Should I continue Youtube? Or not?

Way earlier when I was overwhelmed with editing, finding a niche, etc I thought of just giving up bc I felt it was all too much to learn and once I finally learned everything I was a bit discouraged by the amount of effort and time I was putting into the videos for them not to be seen by anyone. Now I just promote my videos personally and I've seen an increase in views and subs. I would say to just keep up making videos and just promote them and hopefully you can increase your views/subs. Hope this helps!

I am sure that everyone who started a Youtube channel, asks himself this question. "Should I keep my Youtube channel?" It is usually because they put a lot of effort but they do not see the growth they expect, or because they can't put in enough effort.

Personally, I have found myself rebounding all over the place with this question. One day I feel sad and that my channel is no going anywhere and that I am wasting my time. The other day I feel like I will be the new Pewdiepie of Youtube. And some other days I don't even think about the question.

So what do you think about this? Do you ask yourself this question? How do you react with it?
I had two main channels (others are negligible). For both I asked myself same question at some point: should I keep doing it. I decided to close my chess channel, because I realised that in the next years I will have no time for chess, especially in terms of video making. The second channel's case is a little bit different.

2nd channel I have is about biology&chemistry. I set it up because I realised that I remeber things when I teach others. But at some point making videos became effortful. I have finals in May and I thought about closing the channel seeing that more and more people want videos and I do not have time to prepare and record them. But I decided to do not delete it, giving myself to reasons:
1) I created a personal brand via this channel, which might be helpful for example when I would be looking for scholarship program
2) As I gathered many students and received positive feedback, it becomes easier to advertise myself as a private teacher (not sure if I use correct term here) which is a job i'd like to take

Think outside the box - step away from your channel and write down everything that you think is wrong and fix it as you go. but don't you EVER stop Uploading. NEVER!

I know its at times Youtube is hard, but you gotta keep on going for it.

Let's look at it logically:

- If you don't quit and keep on at it, you will have a pretty high chance of getting big on Youtube

- If you quit right now, all that money and time spent on Youtube will be wasted

I think you should keep on going but at the end of the day it's really up to you.

I just do me.... I like to see how I change through the years..... so far the only things that are different in my life since I first started doing vlogs is that I got a puppy =) I watched a few of my old videos and was like... oh yeah I didn't have my dog Diesel yet LOL Who know what will happen in the future

There have been MANY times that I've started wondering why I even continue doing my videos. Then I get a few comments and I remember why I started my channel. I do it because I want my videos to make a difference in someone's life, even if it's just one person. Even if only one person gets some use out of my channel and I know I have helped them in some way then all the effort I put forward is completely worth it. I love getting those comments.

I don't have time in the day to do stuff I don't want to. So if I feel that way I quit YouTube for a while and come back to it later. Usually it doesn't take long for me to get back in the game though.

Happens very regularly for me where I have my weeks where I wanna do nothing but record, edit and upload and there are other days where I question why I started in the beginning.

I always find myself coming back through watching some of my old stuff and watching other peoples videos. Not just large YouTubers but smaller ones that I found on here and still continue to watch. I always say to myself "if they can do it. So can I".

Yeah, I feel like that sometimes, but it's a fun thing to do, I love reviewing stuff, I love sub boxes and half the fun of those is filming your live reaction anyway. If it weren't for Youtube I never would have gotten into Arcade Block or the FNAF games (I know they get hate but I love 'em), nor would I have ever heard of Party Hard, another fun game.

Usually when life gets you down with drama, bills and complications, I take solace in knowing I can go home after all is said and done and become Mark Rodriguez and let the fun begin.
