Shady Youtuber Practices

I think you can put a Subscribe pic/button/annotation at the end of your video when you're asking people to subscribe...but I think that's different.
I think he means making a large, text-less annotation/subscribe link that fits around the entire screen for the entire video. I've never run across that one... how diabolically genius. Shame on them. :)

The only place I put those instant subscription links is into the middle of my videos - so they've made it to the half-way point of a video, they have an idea of what my content is like, and they get the option to subscribe right then and there. Other than that, I don't use that feature.

There's nothing wrong with sending a link to your actual channel but you don't want to trick people into subscribing. It should be their own decision. Plus, that's just a subscriber you'll lose eventually.

Yeah, I recently started doing this at the end of my videos in between annotated links to my other videos. Haha I doubt many people make it to the end of mine, but if they do then why not recommend they subscribe! :D

I absolutely hate this. The subscription center link should have a warning before you click on it. The only place I use this link is as an annotation on a SUBSCRIBE BUTTON in my outro. It should never be titled "Check out my channel here"

What I dislike is when people are like "Hey, I've not checkedout any of your videos but I am a new channel, so please give me a sub and I may sub back :D"
