I think there is room for all kinds of channels. But I have noticed more family channels - maybe there is more of it? I haven't tried adword campaign yet. I can't seem to find the time to sit down and figure it all out

When you starting your channel the AdWords is needed - at least use they coupon offer and it will help your channel to get around 200 subs and 10K-12K of views. It will cost you $25 and it is good deal that you will never get in future.Use it to place your videos with descovery ads placements in recommended section of the page and do not mess with buying words at all. Set minimum bids to 0.01 cent per view and enjoy the ride.

My new channel already has about 5k in two months which is decent. Message if interested. By the way this isn't misleading, I am looking to get into consulting but wanna test my knowledge on things like youtube.

2. Wait for two three day for them to send you $100 dollars coupon.
3. Watch some Adwords tutorials how to star your first video campaign
There is not many video tutorials around only Adwords tutorials and you can always call them and people will guide you step by step with your first campaign.
4.Activate coupon and you will have around 6 month to use it.
5.Discount coupon will kick out after you spend 25 bucks first and you ballance will stay in "-" till you used it up

Thanks a lot but not sure I'm eligible... I have had Google account for more than 10 years, but never advertised through Adwords. I could have used it in the past for keyword discovery only or out of curiosity. So I don't have an option to open it - I just logged in and can create campaigns straight away.
I did receive an offer to get $150 if I spend $150, which is still a good deal but not as good as $25...

I also never received that offer. I put around 10$ just to try it out and it was terrible. For 5$ I got around 160views.

Wow had no idea they offered discounts. I can understand why it's important to start for a new channel to gain exposure. The big channels are probably using them as well.
