Serious Thread: Post something interesting about YouTube that might help someone else

Keep your mouth shut... find another channel to comment/vent.

I still have a hard time doing this. Sometimes I'll be searching through a video and see someone post a comment that is filled with such horrible information that I want to put them on blast, unfortunately that won't work. There is always the chance of having people follow you back to your channel and slam it with dislikes. I had it happen once when I took this less seriously. I saw a video with 0 dislikes and I said "Oh, 0 dislikes? Let me fix that." I woke up the next morning with about 70-80 dislikes on a video. I have to admit, it put me in my place and I learned a lesson when I was just being a bit of a douche.

If you want to argue on youtube, FINE. Go for it! Just keep it off of your main channel.[DOUBLEPOST=1369954488,1369954324][/DOUBLEPOST]
Interesting... Out of curiosity, how specifically do you act differently towards your subs compared to other channels? Do you think people notice?

Exactly, some of these dbags think that because they are on youtube they rule the world. People like you more if you treat them like actual people and not as a number. You don't need to fly out and have lunch with them, just treat them like you would your friend. Also- stay away from talking about your work, or even asking people about it. I feel very awkward when someone says "I liked that one video you had up!". If I went out of my way to add you on Xbox Live, chances are - I am here to play with you and not just use this opportunity as an excuse to get an ego boost. It's like talking to anyone about anything. Just because you run into an athlete doesn't mean you just need to talk about baseball, there are other things outside of their life !

Here's my post to help out someone else:

PewDiePie, Smosh, iJustine, Onision, Shane Dawson, Shaytards, CraftNation, etc. are YouTube Whores. YouTube Whores are YT-Partners who are among the worst people ever for any sort of entertainment whatsoever. They cheat people with their s****y content, fake thumbnails, 5,000 alternative channels just so they can get money from advertisement revenue. The Whores see their absent-minded, die hard-loyal fans as NOTHING but dollar signs. Their only fanbase consists of retarded children (and hipster teens) who are WAY too insecure and too protective of their idiot idols, and will wish upon nothing but DEATH towards the people who have brains and senses to talk out against the Whores.

If any of you ever become a partner, or someone that is a newly accounted YT-Partner, DO NOT, and I cannot stress this enough, but for the love of God, DO NOT become a YouTube *****.

Unless you want to only be loved by retarded and hipster children/teenagers and if you want to see yourself looking at fair critique that shows creditable reasoning and you making remarks towards them as being 'jealous' or 'haters', DO NOT BECOME A YOUTUBE *****.

That is all. :D

I should have clarified that it depends on the content.

Do I notice? Absolutely! I often get people saying that they appreciate the environment in my comments section. There are other content creators in my category who may get a significant amount of views but they don't have hardly any interaction.[DOUBLEPOST=1369970999,1369970514][/DOUBLEPOST]
Here's my post to help out someone else:

We were asked "Please share your own small random facts about YouTube which others might be able to take advantage of. Please attempt to stay relevant and useful rather than just making inane comments"

Please. You are spoiling the positivity of this topic.

I am a firm believer in treating subscribers as equals, not as 'fans'.

Can't agree more. How do you do it, can you put it in 1, 2, 3 activities Markkaz.. (I am a great fan of yours, you changed the way I think about Youtube and Analytics, :) thanks )

What I do to show that they are part of the Channel is as follows :
1) I answer all most all the queries, which can be answered in a reply.... (some questions just can't be answered in the comment section, I leave them)
2) I mention the names of people who actually wanted a Specific Video on a Topic, that way they are excited to hear their name, and not only those who featured get excited, but others too are excited to see the two way communication
3) I mention the best Encouraging Commenters in my credits, and I keep adding those supporting subs names, in every video.... that' makes them come and comment too, they can't be a mute spectator to a Youtube video they like, and in which their name appears right?

Hope this helps :)
