Serious Thread: Post something interesting about YouTube that might help someone else

Linking your Google Plus account to your YouTube might seem like an awesome idea, but I think it causes more problems than its worth (such as not being able to choose your own URL). Don't do it
 
Tags/keywords are extremely important. Don't go through all that hard work of filming, editing, uploading and come up short on your keywords. This is especially the case if you're small, the only way you're going to get discovered is through searches and if you can't be found, then you're going to have a rough time building an audience.
 
If you do happen to develop some fans, by the light of Mjolnir please be sure to interact with them. Building a good community sense with your followers is quite fulfilling.
 
I am a firm believer in treating subscribers as equals, not as 'fans'.
Interesting... Out of curiosity, how specifically do you act differently towards your subs compared to other channels? Do you think people notice?
