Roughly how many views per month would I need to make $100,000 a year on youtube?

I believe you would also have to take into account how many views actually were considered as actual clicks which creates the rev. and @VenomRaptor careful with socialblade because a lot of the times the numbers are off

Yeah, I know, it was just a rough estimation. I know it's not accurate because it's wrong about how much I make XD

At the average 2013 RPM rate (this is with no network cut, a youtuber that size is unlikely to be giving up a % of adsense anyway) of $2.09 and note this is the RPM per 1000 total views.
That's 47,846,890 views in a year to earn $100k which is 3,987,241 views per month.

and also to mention that you can expect 25-50% of that 100k to have to be paid in taxes in most countries.
This is based on Adsense (AFV & YouTube sold ads) revenue only :)

Exactly :), should be an average of 4 million to 6 million views per month......

PewDiePie and Smosh probably make this in a day.
Smosh would roughly make $200,000 a month not 3,000,000.

You also have to remember in Smosh's case that they are a quite big business and do hire a crew for filming and editing.
I would very much doubt if they actually made anymore than 50% or $100,000 before corporate and personal tax each month.

Though it's also unlikely that YouTube earnings is a majority of their income anymore as well.

Just look how many brand integration case studys concerning them there is on Defy Media's site (a merger of the Alloy MCN and another company).

No doubt they're also making quite a pretty penny on those.

It's hard to say when RPM is so variable. I've had months where I make more money on less views.
Take Social Blade revenue stats with a grain of salt.
I'd say don't even worry about how many views it takes to make $100k unless you're getting millions of views per month--then you'll know.

^THIS

There really is no rhyme or reason to it all. You just got to create content, and be content with whatever piece of the pie you are getting. For me? If I started YouTube to make money I'd have quit a long time ago. I do it because it is fun. If I can make some decent coin it would be awesome, but if not... I don't care. I love the interaction on this forum, and I love the interaction with my viewer-base. That is what keeps me making videos!

Hi guys.

I am having between 180.000 and 230.000 daily, ~5.5 million per month and have nearly 50.000 subsrcibers. Do you have any idea how I can be earning by month?
