i was told that before you can start using reddit to post your content you have to interact with the community, since they dont like new commer just trying to get easy views. but im not sure how true that is since i never try using it since i also saw how the majority are douchbags, not all but most.

Several people have said that my content would be welcomed there, I thought it was like an opposite of 4chan. I read an article saying how good Reddit was
The key is to spam it to multiple big reddits and just don't care if you get downvotes. I have many reddit accounts and each one will post the vid over a span of several days to different reddits .I'd say that only about 1/5th of my posts hits and I get any decent response. And the good response I get is more than worth all the bad response I get! I even went so far as to make a troll acount that would post my vids in a place where they do nothing but make fun of vids like mine! And I get a ton of views and upvotes form those posts! I'll post something like "THIS GUY IS A RETARD DOWNVOTE THIS POST" and tons up people will upvote and watch my vid. LOL...
I think you need to hang out on reddit and spend some serious time there building up your karma too. And find those 10-20 reddits with information sort of like yours. Don't pin all your hopes and dreams on one reddit and one post. That will fail. You need to spam. Shamelessly.
If you can't stand hate or trolling and actually have feelings then stay away from reddit. If you are like me and all attention is good attention then reddit is awesome.
When I look at the stats for each vid of mine that has more than 5,000 views, itshows that hundreds, if not thousands of those views came from reddit... That's enough for me to keep redditing!
Bring on the hate and flaming!!! Because views and subs come with it

You haven't had much hate at all! A few downvotes is nothing.
There are a lot of great things about your videos... Your voice is nice, your graphics are great, the story sounds well thought out, etc...
But one really bad thing. After watching your vid for a couple minutes I don't even see how the title has anything to do with the story. And I have no idea where the story is going... Why do I care about these people? I think you need to be more clear in the beginning about ideas you are presenting in your video. You need to capture people in that first 20 seconds or so or they will click onto something else

I have heard mostly negative things about people posting their original content to reddit and that's why I don't do it myself.

I don't know what's going on.
It's all chance, how many people who see the link will happen to like the video versus not liking it. Of course, there can be a general opinion, like whether people generally like or dislike your videos. There's nothing you can do wrong, except spamming the link over and over again. That will get you banned.

Aww don't worry its not only you. Just keep going at it. In 9gag I have had a lot of negative votes but I just look at the FB shares. Even if i got 10 thumbs down but 1 or 2 FB shares Im happy lol. My theory was people are ranking other peoples stuff down so theirs can go up. LOLL but then again Im just probably telling my self that to make myself feel better ahahah.
