Real vs Fake Reactions

Outright fake but lively personality or real but completely monotone and emotionless?

So I keep hearing people talking about how they prefer real reactions over fake ones. I can understand if it's a real and funny reaction, but I just don't see why anyone would like to see a completely monotone person just talking with no emotion at all and not even adding the slightest bit of humor. I'd much rather watch an outright fake reaction, even just random screaming here or there would be much better than just someone talking in the same boring voice and not doing anything special. So what does everyone else think? Would you rather watch a video of some monotone person who just states things as they are and doesn't try to be funny in any way, or someone who's outright faking it to liven up a video. (Only the extremes because of course middle ground would be the most entertaining to most people)

I voted outright fake, and that's for one reason.

There was a video TotalBiscuit did where he was freaking out over pretty much the entire game/video, and at the end or somewhere else he admitted to his reactions there being fake. However, that's probably my favorite video from him because he's so over the top and hilarious with it. So I think a lively but fake reaction is indeed better, or at least more fun than real and monotone.

I'm just lively and humorous normally, so I never really feel the need to fake anything

I don't know, it's something that is quite relaxing in watching monotone and quiet people play. Maybe the person is just very zen, who knows?
I simply can't stand constant screaming and yelling, and bad jokes flying everywhere. :P

There is a limit. I mean if you're someone who just meeeeh talk because "I want to be the next pewdiepie and do nothing just get popular now" I honestly think that if you get into the game and just go with the flow the funniest will come naturally. I made a test once, where I tried to make funny jokes or do something that I might think is funny for others and that didn't felt right neither it got views, but when I am normal and jokes come normally, let's say on my unboxing videos or zelda, I just go with the flow and random jokes appear! I know when I play scary games I might get scared and sometimes I wont but I will try to act a bit scared for the viewers and If it doesn't feel right I will just go with the flow.

People who fake scream or scream contastly like pewdiepie in some of his vides and trying so hard to be funny well that annoys me a lot ._.

I'm a very laid back person by nature (hey, I'm an Aussie, it's to be expected!)

I hate watching anyone that's over the top - I find that annoying.

@Qazplm @JeriKane The question is if you can tell the difference between real and fake my son. Do you think my reactions and commentary are fake or live?

Plus if you think about it a fake girly scream is like a fake orgasm moan. Yeah it sounds good and is entertaining but since it's not genuine it's like... whatever ya know.

For the record all my commentary is TECHNICALLY REAL. It's done in post 9/10 except for the one in my signature because it was meant to capture live real reactions. The rest are all in post while I watch the video footage back after a few days w/ real reactions because if the commentary sucks or the sound quality is garbage I can redo it easily.

If we're talking gaming here, I would rather watch somebody who is faking their reactions but knows how to work their persona properly and can make it overtop and funny. If we're talking pranks or whatever, that's an entirely different story.

Maybe the best thing is a middle between the two. I mean, no excessive and unnecessary reactions, but amplifying a bit real reactions for the sake of entertainment.
