Promoting on other videos?

I know your intentions are good, I used to promote on other videos. And to be honest, it worked for me. I got 1000 views in one day on a video, 30 subs and likes too: all that without a fan base.
But, it's wrong. I stopped doing it for a long time now, the trafic is less important but hell..
 
When people do it on my channel, and they do. I remove it and report it for spam. Personally why should I do all the hard work making a video for someone to come along a promote their channel. I wouldn't mind promoting someone if they did it in a better manner, but my personal opinion is that it is frowned upon and will just get you hate and negative publicity with the community.

i got 9 likes on one of my comments, you obviously don't just say 'hey, check out my channel' because that shows you haven't watched the persons video and obviously don't care about it.

My opinions and many of my friends, if we see someone advertising their channel without our consent on our videos, we remove it. The last person who advertised got about 8 likes from my fans but that was only taking the "mic" where they went on to ask me to remove the comments as the "spam" the comment feeds making it harder to interact with one another. I understand what you are saying but in my eyes, it makes you look desperate and in the end, you are getting publicity for someone else's work.[DOUBLEPOST=1407329469,1407329423][/DOUBLEPOST]In the end that's my opinion however I am not shunning it if you go around it in a good way, not being to obvious on what you are doing :P!
 
You can do it.. its not illegal.. you can even add a link to one of your videos.. chances are however it will not gain you a thing other then dislikes. Just go to other videos leave cleaver kind remarks and people will come check you out.. we have gotten a few subs who told us they thought what we said on someone else video was hilarious so they checked out our channel and subbed.
 
The only reason you should be putting a link to another video in the comments is if its a video response to that video. I've done this a couple of times but I contacted the creator before I posted the link. Always ask first!!

yeh but people will only subscribe if they like your videos, even if you have the best videos in the world you still need a way of promoting them[DOUBLEPOST=1407335446,1407335368][/DOUBLEPOST]

btw..... your channel link in your signature is wrong. you need to put 'gaming' on the end of it.
 
Personally it irritates me and will remove them from my video but I can understand how it works and why people do it
 
I don't like it. I would mostly check out someone else's channel if I like their comment or something like that. I've never even bothered with a channel when it's spammed like this.
