Promoting a small channel?

hey guys, i have just one question. does anyone know a good method on getting exposure to a gaming channel? has any one did promotion like paid? if so how did that workout
i dont mind paying to promote my channel just to get it off the ground.but i would also like to know what else helps besides consistency

it depends on what you mean by paid promotion, if you mean like adwords, a lot of people here has talked about it in the forums!
I can´t recommend paying people for shoutouts and that kind of stuff, because it won´t help you in the long run. since it won´t be true subscribers!

ok so what help you get your 600 subs?
im at 8 but most of them are close friends![DOUBLEPOST=1513521711,1513521489][/DOUBLEPOST]and well i dont know what adword is but i was talking more of youtube promotion. just to have a lttle 15 sec video of mines pop up when people watch gaming videos

I have looked into similar channels and made comments relating to the videos (not spamming with comments like "Hey come and look at my channel") amongst other things. A few people from here has subscribed as well. So be kind and active here as well!
I can also recommend collaborating, even though I have never done it!
