Promoting a new channel

I've Got It
Hey guys, I recently started my youtube channel on the 1st of this month, so far i have 11 subscribers and a decent amount of views and I see all this big youtubers with loads of subscribers and views and I think, I want to have a channel like that one day. What I wanted to know what is the best free way to promote your channel? Is it advertising in the comments? Is it dropping links to your channel and videos on related website where possible? Or is there anyone way? If anyone can help me and suggest the best way to gain views and subscribers can you comment below.

he's not promoting. he's asking HOW to promote. read the post, not just the title.[DOUBLEPOST=1376399693,1376399594][/DOUBLEPOST]keep making videos, post links on social media, reply to all comments, comment RELEVANT stuff on other videos (not 'look at my channel!' ones) and just dont stop making content and people will eventually find you.

LOL at the first part :) and thanks, but the thing is I found this out on my old channel that if you do the come look at my channel bit right and make it sound good and few people like it you gain about 3-7 subs and 50 views each time on videos and then more people watch them because they have more views?

yea but it annoys A LOT of people (including me) and it could bring hate.

1. The promo sections of this forum and your signature (both require VIP)
2. Do not post spam on people's comments, YouTube PMs or on their channel. You can get banned for ToS violation, plus it's really amateur and annoying
3. There are social networking sites BUT the downside is, you need a following to gain a following so rather than relying on you posting on your facebook (etc), you need other people to post on THEIR facebook.

Make sure your videos are either funny, unique, interesting or at least very controversial. If people watch the video and have something they strongly agree/disagree with, they are more likely to share than if it was just a walk-and-talk vlog about how you went for coffee, or an unoriginal level of a game where nothing special happens.
