I've had it for the last 3-4 days. I click all the new ones and open them in a new tab to respond, then I delete them. Only solution

Why does YouTube spend so much time and effort into "fixing" things like the channel backgrounds when there's no real complaints with them, while they ignore these issues with the inboxes that are affecting a ton of people? It's frustrating to say the least.

Me too. I just delete messages I don't need. Google can make cyborg glasses but can't get the inbox right? Oh you!

i used to have that problem. but not anymore.. sometimes what i did is to click on inbox then comments then back to inbox and the unread goes away..

Been like this since I had my channel (so over 2 months) for me so irritating. I am having to delete messages from my inbox in order to mark them unread, which is annoying.
