Posting comments on youtube is bad!!!

Il try it ..but i dont see it working all that well -- cause every channel is stuck on top comments rather than newst comments -- so itll have to take some scrolling to find a RANDOM comment like mine -- yeno?

I could be wrong here, but I thought "Top Comments" was sorted differently for every user, depending on what activity and Google+ circle members the user has had. In other words, the Top Comments I see might be different than the Top Comments you see. I thought YouTube made this change a while ago to make the comments more relevant for each specific user.

Not trying to burst your bubble, of course. You've had some nice success and I think commenting a lot and getting thumbs up on your comments definitely plays a role in that.

Some people actually do switch to newest comments instead of top because they're annoyed by the people who always get top comment. The top comments sometimes consist of people with 1k subs or people that have ten subs. Sometimes the person has 100 likes or they may have none. No one truly knows the algorithm of google plus. Don't get discouraged because you aren't getting any likes because it takes persistence. You have to make sure your comments are likable enough because you never know when or if you're in the top comments. Even if you're only top comment for ten minutes that should be enough time to garner five likes if your comment is amusing. If you're not up for persistence hop around youtube and comment on random videos. Go to the youtube front page and comment on all the viral videos. You may not get likes on all your comments but that's okay. You're looking to get likes on one or two out of 10 videos. All the likes you get on your comments count as "interactions" on google plus and help you in the future of getting top comment.

I would still suggest subscribing to a big channel that posts daily. The sooner you post after the video has been posted the more exposure you will get. This method can get you more subs than posting on viral videos because other people will see your comments on a daily basis and therefore recognize you. I've also recognized a pattern that if you comment on a channel a lot compared to a channel you're barely ever on, the channel you are regularly on will always give you a better chance of top comment.[DOUBLEPOST=1406128119,1406127858][/DOUBLEPOST]

The top comments are usually only different to one person personally seeing as: 1. Your comment will appear as top comment when it isn't. 2. People in your circles will appear first.

Other than that, the top comments are pretty flat across the board for everyone. Sometimes I log into a different account to see if I'm really top comment. Sometimes I'm not. Sometimes I am.

I've got a question, when you comment on someone's video should you tick that "share on Google plus" box that you're prompted with before commenting

Personally, I do. But I never proven it so I'm not sure. I know someone else who doesn't hit share and still gets lots of subs from this method.

Posting insightful and relevant comments is how I've got about 60 out of my 73 current subscribers, so this method definitely works.
