I made the switch to CS6 and I have to say, I liked previous versions better. CS4 and CS5 had to be my favorite ones. CS6 feels.. weird haha.

lol i am working in photoshop myself and i am a noobie and i am confused as hell i guess that means look at some youtube videos for support that will help that's why youtube is there you can find anything you are looking for:p

You can use Ctrl+X, or the magic wand tool or the quick selection tool :) You can also use the rubber or the polygon marquee tool :)
