<- Photoshop Noob. Help me? :[

I'm very new to photoshop, and I know this is going to sound like a stupid question but I can't figure it out xD

How do you put a image on top of another image?

Just delete the layer of the picture you're trying to cut out.

Just copy+paste. Photoshop creates a new layer by itself.

You mean you want me to open the picture in a new document, right click on the layer and copy it, then navigate my mouse allllll the way over to the other tab, click on it, then, right click and paste the layer down?????? Here in America, we be lazy.

on the left there are loads of tool and one of them is like a dotted line like the select tool.and i believe its a circle and then a pen on it too. Click the and then click around the image and get all the pits of the image you want. You can increase and decrease the diameter for detail or larger selections too.
