Pewdiepie didn't pick my channel for the shoutout :(

It must be strange knowing that with a few words in a video you can literally change someone's entire life.[DOUBLEPOST=1457764846,1457764785][/DOUBLEPOST]
I have the impression that my irony didn't transfer well via text :D
Irony or sarcasm? Either way, the first reply seemed to get it.

I have seen the irony that a lot of people have seemingly missed here, but how good would it be if big Youtubers actually did help the little guys out a little now and again. I'm not saying they should, but I hope if I ever get big that I would give back to the community. Also I am starting to find most big Youtubers extremely done and boring now. They are too similar bar a few. I am starting to enjoy watching smaller channels that have to offer something different to offer and haven't been mushed in to the same Youtube habits as everyone else.

Don't chase a shout out to get your fame and riches. You won't develop the skills to get there that way. Earn it. Every step of the way

You could argue that getting a shoutout from someone huge would be earning it though. He doesn't just pick them out at random, he chooses the person he feels deserves it. Jacksepticeye would disagree with what you are saying completely I bet.

Am I missing something? Did he agree to pick names out of a hat and give random shoutouts to small channels or something?

I could care less and don't really keep up with his channel, so even if he did give me a shout out and somehow lots of people started subbing to me, I'd be completely confused as to why all of a sudden I got so many subs and would think I was being spammed rather than thinking that Pewds had a hand in it.

PewDiePie's audience from statics is almost completely people fromthe age of 10-18. why would you want that kinda audience on your channel? I sure wouldnt. but thats just me:p

There is nothing wrong with that age group. If you are a gamer or have a channel with age friendly content, then you may want those people to watch your channel. My niche targets 10 to 30 year old people. The audience's age continues to expand as my niche grows every year.
