Parents just don't understand, ya know.

I don't really have any support from my parents. But I don't live them either, so I guess it doesn't matter!
 
My classmates make some jokes on me about this hobby, nothing serious. On the other hand, one of my professors is interested in this, and a bunch of times asked me about it D:
I don't like to talk about it to my parents, and they count it just as a hobby, so they aren't particularly annoyed by it

And all those people who told you you couldn't are just going to end up looking stupid when you achieve what you want:) Most of the famous youtubers I watch came from everyone laughing at them and telling them they couldn't to millions of subscribers!

Well its a new format media, so a lot of people see it as b******t, since we are used to people with acting degrees usually in the media.

But I think its great, since like any indie scene it gives way to a lot of freedom and freedom of innovation. And it is also great to hear, that there are parents supporting that. :)

Consider the number of people that work on one of those shows. If you were to compare my channel to breaking bad, I bet my views per employee would beat theirs for some of my bigger videos. :)

Well arent the numbers for Tv viewers going down already? On top of that, if you look at successful youtube reviewers of products, they already outperform media, for example gaming, there are youtubers, which destroy the numbers of IGN for example.

And that is one of the largest media outlets.

Yeah, I was just pointing out that they are apples and oranges. One of my videos might take 2-4 hours to make, is low cost (just a couple hundred dollars in equipment to use on every video) yet they can get thousands, tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of views. Painting ONE zombie up for the walking dead takes more cost, manpower, and time. (not to count the supporting companies it takes to distribute it)

ou yeah definitely. And besides the actual work towards the product, the amount of money on marketing and advertising, just to reach the product out is insane.

It is often a misconception how many people work on those shows. For something like Breaking Bad, yes they have a huge crew. What he has done primarily is live TV, and often they have very few crew members. For some talk shows he has done they have a director, a camera guy (controlling multiple cameras as they don't generally need to move) and someone controlling sound levels and making sure there is nothing to bleep out. That is only 3 crew members, and there will usually be one more person there as a PA. Some larger productions do however have hundreds of crew members.
 
I don't want to be rude or something but you have to tell your dad to bang her more .

I don't live with my parents anymore and I support myself so they can't tell me what to do anymore .
My mother supports me and told me to start a World Of Warcraft series so she can watch me ROFL .
If my mother's boyfriend told me something like that I would punch him so hard , the wall would give him a second punch .
If my father's girlfriend told me something like that I would pee on her clothes . Right in front of her obviously .

IMHO she has no rights to tell you what to do .
