Page views almost doubled but earnings going down

2012 was actually my best year since I started. In September, October and November I averaged just under $5 Page RPM with many days well over $6 (if Adsense people want to put me out of my misery and terminate my account because I discussed RPM they'd honestly be doing me a favor at this point). The elections helped a lot. Those were indeed the good old days for me. It's sad looking back on how good December used to be. I had one day in December 2011 that I hit over $9 RPM on this channel. That's insane! I made like $450 that day from this channel alone(this was my only channel generating meaningful revenue at the time). Yep. The good old days.

Yes political volatility seems to be quite "good" at least for some YT channels. We got a day with 50$ in January which is huge (I think) for small predominantly Asian channel as ours.
The good thing is that we still have fun making our videos so we'll continue for now with them. :)

by the way, what is the rate tax in US for such incomes?
