One of my videos hit over 1,000 views but

There was no interaction whatsoever. I only got 3 likes and 1 dislike. I found it odd that one of my videos suddenly blew up like that, but I don't know what could have done it. I just did the thing I usually do with all my videos which is, just share them on social media, but they only get like 40 or so views, nothing special.

What I'm confused about is how did I get all of those views but not a single person comments, and I don't even get more likes or dislikes. Pretty confused on this one.

What do you guys think?
 
Sometimes people seem to practice their viewbot scripts on random new vids they stumble upon. Only safe explanation when your views go boom, but you get absolutely 0 out of it. I guess you can also check your adsense in a few days see if you got a buck or less for the views.

probably embedded on a site. Most of the times my videos get huge spikes you see all the likes and comments on Facebook, but not on your YouTube page.
 
I dont know if you use TubeBuddy or VidIQ but these tool let you check where your views come from. Also in the analytics you can check in 2 days if the videos all came from an extern website (reddit/facebook embedded) or you randomly got recommended to a lot of people because you got perfect tags or something. But for me it seems like a viewbot thing. Check your watchtime on the vid, if it is really low (<1%) its probably a viewbot
 
I thing you video maybe embed on any site,that's the reason you receiving views not likes.I'm not sure,but you can take a look on your watch time,how much it increase after uploading your video!!
 
You guys are saying that it could be embedded somewhere? Is there a way I can check where it's embedded?

It could be viewbots, but would someone pay just to get my videos views? I guess it's possible. The spike actually happened yesterday, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see where these views are coming from. I also can't check the watchtime until tomorrow either.

could just be a spike in views due to the game just coming out. interaction is hard to get unless you already have a huge following or actually ask for it.

Like others said, they mostly got on it for a second and left , that's why you don't see much interaction with it.
