Old or new Youtube?

With the release of the new "material" youtube update coming soon, I thought it would be interest to see what people prefer, the older layouts of youtube (from a few years ago) to the newer ones from 2013 onwards.

I personally prefer the older ones for casual users, but the newer one is better for content creators such as myself.

What do you think?

The newest one is actually really good despite the hate it got. People can't really take major changes when it comes to youtube.

But the older ones were more cozy to use. Classic things will always remain the best.

I followed some instructions today to see the new layout and I like that everything looks cleaner but at the same time it looks... er, lonelier? There's just so much blank space. It feels to me as if nothing's happening and nobody's there. I guess I'm having a rather emotional reaction to the new layout

I never used YouTube at all really until last year. So I don't know what the older versions look like

I personally prefered the older ones. They seemed... more friendly? I don't really know how to describe that. However, that new material design is really nice as well. It just needed a little getting used to.

Really hate the plain look we have now myself. They need to find a way to mix both into one

But to answer your question, I actually enjoy the newer youtube more because it just looks more clean and modern. It fits in with the time
