We led a group of 35 Jeeps/Trucks through an area called "Truckhaven" and then to a place called Calcite Mine in Anza Borrego Desert Park. The Truckhaven area is right next to California's largest lake, Salton Sea and was underwater only a few thousand years ago. The entire area consists of large, narrow and steep hills and and maze-like canyons. Calcite mine was owned by Polaroid and up until around 50 years ago they mined the area extensively, using the calcite to make camera lenses. The road up to the calcite mine is very high (hundreds of feet in most areas) and very narrow. Everything in this video is considered "easy" by most Jeeper's standards.
We didnt bring the usual bag of cameras on this day so everything was filmed with an iPhone 6S, an iPhone 7, and a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced quadcopter.
