No More Tags?

I've been MIA from uploading on Youtube, and even posting on this forum.

Did Youtube get rid of tags? As far as tagging videos for related content and keywords for searching?

No. At least 4 days ago they were still working when I uploaded a new video. Why do you think YT get rid of them?

PS. It is true that the most popular tags are already assigned to the appropriate mega channels and new/small channels get almost 0 traffic if they use them but this is another topic.

I just uploaded a video today to be scheduled to go live at a later date, but it still let me put tags.

Yes, YouTube doesn't have the in-built tag suggester any more. It wasn't of much help anyway in my eyes.

I wish I knew more about tags. I never know if I should focus or 5 or 6 or go for 20 different tags!
