New Laptop needed! Which make?

however if you want something cheaper go for an HP because those are very good. To be honest though macbook are just the best so you might as well get one of them

And Apple avoided paying tax in the UK. So I don't think too highly of them.

But, that aside, there are much better laptops for the prices of the Mac's. Can people saying Mac please provide a reason why over anything else? Because from what I have seen, you seem to say Mac from experience, but know nothing else about laptops...

Thank you for that! I have grown up with Windows, so its what im used to I guess, and I kinda know what to do when it comes to computers. If your not tech savvy, then you might want to go for the easier option. If you want to save money, then you can't really choose that option.

Its a really good OS for designers. But I still dont have one haha.

Hey guys, so basically my laptop is on it's way out, half its keys have died and so many things just don't work any more, to be fair I've had it since I was 17 and I'm now almost 24 so I think I'm due a new one! I'm just wondering from experience which ones you think are best for video editing? Best name to look out for? I was going to get a MacBook but I'm worried I will just be paying for the name! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Obviously I will do lots of research and talk to the people in store before I make up my mind but I thought I'd just get an idea from you guys first!

Lenovo has always been awesome for me! Dependable, fast, and reasonably cheap if you know where to shop!

Oh god so many opinions haha, if it helps, I'm pretty much just using it for editing videos and looking up random stuff online! the most I really want to pay is around £800, although I know it will be more for a MacBook if I choose one of those Thanks so much for the help guys!

Choosing a Mac over a PC doesn't entail lack of computer knowledge. It's a preference. I grew up with PC as well and I love it. I have a desktop on Windows 7 and I've had HP laptops before I switched over to a MacBook. I just enjoy the MacBook better than I ever enjoyed my HP laptops. Usability is easier, the UI looks better, and I like the design of the MacBook itself.

I'll stick with Mac for traveling and my day-to-day stuff and use my PC for gaming and for use when I'm at home.
