;) I have some songs that I made on my Sound cloud that I allow anyone and everyone to use. I have enabled downloads so you can download my songs for free and use them without any copyright issues. you can find the link to my Sound Cloud on my YouTube channel banner. I am more than happy to let you use my music in your videos for free.

I have a small royalty free music channel on Youtube and web site here is the link. Hope this helps out some people on here.

Another good website is:

FreePlayMusic.com

That's where I get all of my music stuff. And their collection of music is impressive!

I see a number of people asking about how to get free music for their videos. In order to use music in a video that you intend on monetizing and making money off of, you have to have the rights to monetize the video. That can mean one of two things.

One, the person who made it gave you permission to use it in your video. If you know someone that makes music, whether it be from the forum or in real life, you can ask them. Make sure they say you can though!

If you don't want to ask permission, you can use any royalty-free music. Royalty-free means that you're allowed to use the music in content that you intend on monetizing, under some contingencies. Normally, they require you to mention them somehow, whether it be in the credits of a video, in your description, or whatever, give them credit. One popular site with royalty-free music is:

If you want more, you can look up "royalty free music" on google, and should find something. If you know of any other reliable sources that you'd like to share, please link it down below for the use of others.

I hope this clears things up for everybody! Thanks for reading!

EDIT: Also feel free to check out Th3StuffShow's music, which he allows free use of as well. He just asks that you credit him. Here's his channel for music:

You can get a lot songs for free on Soundcloud. Sometimes you can download some songs there;).

I am so so freaking lost with al those creative commons.. I am really really stuck. :(

I deleted all my videos last week, and uploaded them with no music. Only some simple soundfiles i made myself or with no any CC issues. My focus is to grow a bit more and to join a Network like Fullscreen. No music in the video's is a bit... boring.. so I am looking for music that i can buy. But, I want to keep it fun. 100 @ for a song will take me 100 years to earn it back with ads haha.

Question: I made a account on Audio Jungle. If i buy a song for 14$ (regular)

can i use it legal in 1 youtube video that is connected to Adsense or a network? Yes / No

Do i need the 14$ item, or the 70$ item (that is a lot of money if I want to release 2 videos a month)

sorry for the question.. i see so many questions.. it feels the same..but i can not make a clear answer for myself. :(

No you cannot. You'd have to buy the Exclusive license for that.

Royalty Free is a generic term. You'd have to fully read the sellers ToS to determine wether or not it is truly Royalty Free for Personal and Commercial use.

Remember if your monetizing your videos, it is classified as commercial use. If your channel is doing Speed Arts and the like your better off waiting to monetize with YouTube. It'd most likely end up hurting yourself.

Another good thing if your into dubstep, head over to soundcloud.com and send messages to some of the small time dubstep producers, ask them if you can use their music in your video. Most of them will say yes.

I use a lot of music from incompetech.com but now that I've found this thread I'll be able to use a wide variety of music and songs on my videos.

You guys will surely be credited for your amazing work! :)
