Monetizing a song cover... questions

I had the same option like you with a cover that I did. I'm monetizing it without problems! It seems now that YouTube have some kind of special deals to certain songs to monetize covers (without the need of a network or license, YT do that for you apparently).

I just want to be certain, before I choose to monetize it.
 
Are you guys networked with anyone or just straight YouTube partners? I'm just curious because I haven't been able to figure out if YTs new cover policy applies just to YT Partners or it includes those with another network.

I am just a straight YouTube Partner, I'm not networked with anyone, that why I thought it was weird when YouTube gave me the option.

The channel where I have that monetized cover, is directly partnered with YouTube, no network.
 
Ok cool thanks for the info. I'll keep digging to see if anyone is part of a network and able to rely on this policy.

I've been trying to ask on my network's forum, but people just ignore the policy and point me to 8 month old info about fullscreen.
