Monetization Question

Hey guys & gals. First time poster here so "Hi" to everybody. This seems like a great community of content creators. I had a question regarding monetization. I have a totally newbie question. Iv'e recently been cutting pieces of my monetized videos into smaller clips and posting them to Youtube as separate videos. For instance - Ill take a 20 minute video and make four five minute videos, monetize them all - and then post them to Youtube. I was curious if this violates Youtubes terms ? I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance.
 
I don't think it violates any terms but I don't think you should make content on youtube just for money. If you have a fanbase they will know if you're actually passionate about making videos or if you're just in it for the money.
